All the blue sky from everyone on Facebook is sometimes hard to take. I find myself avoiding it some days.
Happenings today June 21, 2014
Ru-Jun and I went shoe shopping. She got a pair of thong-flip flops with a strap in the back. I got a really comfortable pair of shoes. Shian-Ren is tired but good. She is losing some hair; we don’t know how much she will lose.
2nd infusion June 20, 2014
Shian-Ren got the 2nd infusion today and the pump will be putting it in until Sunday. She is feeling fine and everything is OK. We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend here, mostly at the house.
Nightly shower June 19, 2014
Ru-Jun has pushed for this and her doctor actually recommended it as a way to wash off the daily dust and pollen that can irritate her airway. So we’ll go with it. My rule is that on non regular shower nights (2 out of 3 nights) we don’t use soap, since it takes a long time to rinse out and if it’s not rinsed it can irritate her skin.
Making lunches June 18, 2014
I’m looking forward to not having to put together Ru-Jun’s lunch and snack bags in the summer. It’s not hard to do, just takes 10 minutes that I’d rather spend sipping tea and reading e-mail and trying to wake up.
Peppa Pig June 17, 2014
This British show for pre-schoolers has been Ru-Jun’s favorite for a few months now. Among the shows she has fixated on, this is the least mature. I don’t know how much longer it will be her favorite. It’s a good show and has interesting art and the British-ness is interesting. But there aren’t that many episodes and Ru-Jun has seen all of them multiple times.
