Ru-Jun’s first day of Kindergarten went off without a hitch. She was very business like getting on the bus and the whole thing went fast. Down at the bus stop at the end of our street there are four different families with K-2 kids, including a kindergardener named Brendan. Other kindergardener, in Ru-Jun’s room, named Coby is on the bus (so he must live around here) and Ru-Jun sat next to him. It was a half day today (the next two days are as well) for the kindergardeners. Shian-Ren and Min met the bus around noon as I was teaching. I came back briefly in the afternoon and took Ru-Jun’s supplies and one of her meds up to the school and got her some lunch. Then I had to go back to the dept for a faculty meeting. This evening Ru-Jun said: “Daddy, I really like kindergarten.” So, all is well…
