There’s a hypothesis that the ancestral human diet was more omega-3 rich than the modern grain (and corn/soybean) based diet. In my current diet I am eating mostly seafood as the protein and for a long time I’ve tried to enrich the diet with omega-3 fatty acids (although in foods like Smart Balance, it is the plant form ALA which is not immediately usable by the human body, unlike the forms in fish oil, DHA and EPA). I’m also trying to lose weight by both eating less and exercising 5-6 days a week (I’d do 7 but parenting). We’ll see how all this works.
