Ru-Jun slept pretty well and only needed Motrin in the early morning. We went shopping today and she was tired but fine. She’ll be on the antibiotics for a total of 10 days. But it looks like she in on the way toward kicking the infection.
New Sandbox March 19, 2010
Ru-Jun has a new sandbox, which actually consists of some sand from Home Depot in two 72 quart under-the-bed tupperware storage containers. We need the covers because of the neighborhood cats.
Unfortunately she has only played in it once (yesterday afternoon). She had a fever today and went home from day care in the middle of the day. Double ear infection. She started antibiotics. The fever is persisting. We’re using ice packs until we can give her the next dose of Motrin. She’s been tired but in good spirits. Sleeping somewhat fitfully now.
Spring is trying to arrive March 7, 2010
A nice day close to 50˚F here on the island, with not too much of a cold breeze. We went to Kohls today and got a few things for Ru-Jun. One was a toy to help her begin learning the numbers on a clock, which is good that we didn’t give her as a gift. There are very negative connotations for giving clocks as gifts in China. I was looking for a fleece to replace one with a broken zipper. But the winter inventory is all gone. Apparently we are now supposed to be wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts. A similar thing happened last Labor Day when I was looking for lawn chairs in Lowe’s. No lawn chairs but plenty of snow shovels and snow blowers on sale.
We went to the town park yesterday. It would have been warm if not for the stiff north breeze.
Megachild – Aquaman March 6, 2010
No footage from the retreat party, but here’s a demo we made of our song Aquaman on our digital 8-track recorder with a gratuitous slide show video.
