This morning’s two inches of slightly wet snow made for fast and actually enjoyable shoveling. Last week’s two+ feet left some psychological scars with JT that today’s shoveling helped to assuage.

Our Christmas Snowman December 26, 2009
We didn’t unwrap too many presents yesterday. Our extended family Christmas will be Sunday. But we did build a snowman, since it finally got above freezing.

Our snowman is named Janus because he has two faces.

He didn’t fare too well overnight in the rain.

But we fixed him up this morning.

He looks much more chipper now.

This is the last year that Christmas won’t be a big deal for Ru-Jun. But maybe she has some sugar plums dancing in her dreams…

Play Doh December 21, 2009
Ru-Jun exchanged gifts with her friend Emma on Saturday. She gave Emma a book and Emma gave her a Play Doh set, which she is enjoying very much.
Judging from the residual smell on my hands, it would appear that the formula for Play Doh has not changed in 40 years.
